Arclight workshops can be delivered face to face by an experienced teacher, or with kit sent ahead of time, remotely using a video link. Practically minded assistants and optional interpreters will be needed.

The Simulation tools are ideal for teaching and assessing clinical skills in the COVID era – they reduce unnecessary social interaction, lower air miles, are more time efficient and may actually enhance retention. Lesson structure and content should be tailored to the cohort, such as:

  • students (medical, optometry, nursing, veterinary, clinical officer, other health worker)
  • recent graduates or refreshers
  • lower resource settings
  • pathology specific e.g. diabetic retinopathy or glaucoma

The Arclight Project team has a particular interest in Interprofessional Education (IPE) to foster collaborative working and deliver appropriate interventions especially within stretched health care systems.

History Taking

We have established a range of templates that address the particular needs of different health care workers. This has been developed with the support of many different funding and training partners leading to global reach.

The different workshop examples below illustrate the range of approaches that can be taken.
