The 4th TWENDE plan for action meeting has been held held at Makerere University’s School of Biomedical Sciences, which is part of the College of Health Sciences. The meeting was productive and full of humour. The team drew the Uganda TWENDE research map covering the healthcare facilities to be visited and identified the team to lead the TWENDE work in Uganda. Dr. Wilber Sabiiti explained the role of each team member and insisted on the role of the Knowledge Transfer (KT) trainee who will stay beyond TWENDE as the KT officer responsible for facilitating the translation of research innovations into policy and practice. Prof Moses Joloba said, “Wilber’s visit and our discussion has made the TWENDE project’s mission clearer and easy to implement”.
