AACR annual meeting 2018
Jennifer Bre (Prof. David Harrison’s lab, School of Medicine) and Awa Sarr (Dr Reynolds’ lab, School of Medicine) attended the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting, held in Chicago from 14-18 April 2018. This event is a major international Oncology conference gathering a large panel of cancer research experts including clinicians and scientists from academia, industry and diverse institutions. Jen presented a poster “NUC-1031 overcomes resistance associated with gemcitabine” and Awa presented a poster of her PhD project titled: “Genome-wide CRISPR/Cas9 Screen Identifies Factors Required for Sensitivity to Pyrimidine Nucleoside Analogs”.
Their research projects are part of a collaboration between the University of Saint Andrews and the biopharmaceutical company Nucana plc.
