A team from the University recently delivered a science day at Kirkcaldy West Primary School.  Primaries 5, 6 and 7 undertook a variety of science interactive activities including physics, volcanoes, rockets, geo science, balance and osteology.  The day was a great success in enthusing children about science and showing that science is not one subject.

This is the fifth year of the Primary School Science Day (PSSD) project which is organised and co-ordinated by Henry Rae Senior Medical Teaching Technician in the School of Medicine.  The aim of PSSD is to encourage and enthuse children about science at a time just before going into secondary school and show them there is a wide variety of science subjects.

Colleagues from the School of Medicine, School of Physics, School of Geography and Geoscience along with Univeristy Public Engagement Officer all participated.

Below are some of the images taken on the day.
